About Me

Seeking a technical product manager role. With over a decade experience in embedded electronics, software, and leadership I want to help businesses expand and manage their product offerings and feature sets. I started in electrical engineering at Seagate in Colorado, then moved into medical device design and development within a start-up in San Diego, CA. Today I’m a program manager supporting business development at Tria Technologies (Avnet Company), focused on helping customers find embedded compute solutions for the next generation products. This includes: scoping out product requirememts, mapping out product roadmaps and timelines, managing key factory and partner relationships, and managing hardware and software deployment domestically and overseas. I’ve led complex, cross-disciplinary work from R&D through delivery, working with marketing, clinical, supplier partners, drug manufacturers, and overseas manufacturing to deliver products from 0 -> 1 across multiple domains.

Embedded Computing / OEM Hardware Design Remote

Tria Technologies (Avnet Compnay). Embedded compute design and manufacturing company (formerly Avnet Embedded/MSC Technologies), delivering compute modules and custom systems for OEMs across medical, industrial, and consumer applications.

Key Achievements
  • Built out US customer engagement for Tria Technologies SOM products as the second dedicated resource in the region, establishing a customer-first support model across the West US, Canada, and Mexico, growing backlog from 1-3 existing customers to 15 new accounts, 4 pushed to design win.
  • Secured design wins across 4 opportunities totaling ~$300k in design-win value and ~$4M in annual revenue, scoping SOM solutions, customizations, and software support packages to customer technical requirements.
  • Retained a customer considering a competitor switch by rebuilding software development timelines, proposing alternative design options, and negotiating cost concessions to de-risk sample to production transition, securing continued business. Opportunity lifetime estimated 15 years with $850k in AR.
  • Defined project roadmaps spanning system-on-module selection, hardware/software customization (OS and BSP), and factory integration requirements, translating customer needs into actionable specs for internal engineering and factory teams.
  • Delivered Tria SOM roadmap training across ~10 US/Canada Avnet branches and authored technical presentations mapping customer requirements to SOM integration, serving as primary liaison between customers and factory HW, SW, product, and manufacturing program leads.

Senior Solutions Engineer

Embedded Computing / OEM Hardware Design Remote

Tria Technologies (Avnet Compnay). Embedded compute design and manufacturing company (formerly Avnet Embedded/MSC Technologies), delivering compute modules and custom systems for OEMs across medical, industrial, and consumer applications.

Key Achievements
  • Defined product architecture for MaaXBoard OSM93, a low cost dev platform enabling customer evaluation of Tria Technologies’ OSM93 system-on-module; drove hardware development over 8 months from prototype to production, selling 200+ units in 2 years. Used by customers in evaluation and drove 100k EAU order of OSM93 module.
  • Built Python based demo suite in embedded Linux (multi-threaded car ECU, driver monitoring system) used at 15 trade shows over 2.5 years to showcase MaaXBoard OSM93 capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Adapted Google open-source facial and posture detection models for a driver monitoring demo, benchmarking i.MX93 NPU vs. non-NPU inference. Reduced inference time by ~80% via NPU deployment.
  • Authored product briefs, technical articles, and blog content supporting customer adoption of the MaaXBoard OSM93 platform.
  • Coordinated with German and Chinese manufacturing teams on hardware development, Software board-support-package, driving prototypes through to production for sale via Avnet.
